Back to my earlier note entitled "Smell your movie", I am just surprisingly forwarded a link to this 4D Screen Theatre in HK.
What they mean as the 4th dimension seems to be some virtual effects including snowfall, wind, the spray of water, bubbles, fog, lights, and all kinds of smells! This means that not only is our idea been worked on in a research lab, but also is commercialized in a few movie theatres worldwide. I am not too sure to what level this is being accomplished. Keith now is planning to go to HK and pay a visit to this movie theatre soon and I am so curious to hear about his experience.
It reminds me of a theater show that Hannah and Alex attended, where the audience were asked to wear rain coats because water were splashed onto them during a murder scene.
ReplyDeleteIt's great; I've experienced it, when I was in Universal Studios; there's rain drop, wind and smells, icy snow;it's very cooool. I've heard that the stone mountain park here in Atlanta has one too.search for 4D theater in your state, you might find one near you too!
